Ahead of their new EP release, LA outfit The Fontaines have shared a video for the bouncy pop cut, Who, which is punctuated by Charlotte Fontaine’s ruby-like moonbeam vocals as she croons about the eviscerating loneliness. The video follows a bored and lonely Charlotte as she gets ready to embark on the formless night and tries to fill the abyss that gnaws in her belly. It begins and ends in relatable fashion. We wake up alone, we suffer the day alone, we collapse into bed alone, defeated and heavy in the spleen with a bitter weight. Desperate attempts are made, but it’s bottomless and taunts us with relentless cruelty and the festering scent of yearning, regret, and failure.
