These dead and eternally cold days are perfect for brooding trip-hop, and producer Hans Hu$tle and singer Tahnee Matthiesen are here to add to your collection.
The duo originally met in a club in Munich while dancing to D’Angelo and would soon join forces to combine their love for dark atmospheres enraptured by an orb of psychedelia. The end result would be their “Contact” EP and from it comes the single We All. Here, percussive notes dance and ring out from the loathsome depths while the tendrils of Matthiesen’s voice drifts between a chasm of guitar recordings and other textures. There’s a stillness that rests in her voice. It’s faint and fizzles into the ether of a heavy baseline like bones being crushed and splintered.
