Fans of Iceage will find much to enjoy in Pardans (two members of which play with Iceage). With a new album on its way, the Copenhagen-based outfit just released the opening track titled Burning House Bedding.
Wild and intense, instruments shriek, croak, and wail with tremendous energy. It’s unconventional and disjointed, led by Gustav Berntsen’s eccentric, urgent vocals that claw at the jazz-punk atmosphere. Everything rushes together, tangled and imminent, and grinds like a depraved carnival bursting through a million trillion exasperated lungs.
Pardans’ new album, “Spit and Image”, is due out October 5.
