Rabbit Hole is the final single off Noé’s forthcoming debut EP, ibynoé, and offers another side of the French LA-based artist. Where the previously released singles were more pop-leaning, Rabbit Hole features a dusty beat that’s gritty yet floats as Noé’s vocals flutter creating an entrancing contrast. Speaking on the process, she says:
“‘Rabbit Hole’ is a Frankenstein of a song. The final vocals are actually original takes of me freestyling melodies and lyrics into a mic at the studio. I loved how raw and imperfect they sounded so we decided to keep them as is. I think the gritty vibe of Rabbit Hole sets it apart from more structured songs like “Pity Party” and “Color.”
Noé’s debut EP, “ibynoé”, is due May 21st.
