With only a few more weeks until Ludvig Moon drops their sophomore album, ‘Vanilla’, the band shares another new single.
On Østerdalen, the band switches from the soaring dreamscape of ‘Heaving For Oxygen‘ for something more 80’s inspired. Here, notes bubble from the darkness and erupt into a vivid dramatic hook that floods the landscape with light.
Speaking on its origin, Ludvig Moon says:
“The song was created during a car trip to a gig in northern Norway that didn’t go as planned. The car broke down and the band was stuck in the middle of nowhere for hours during the night and ended up losing a great amount of money being towed for miles and miles into the city. During these hours Ole wrote the music for Østerdalen and later Anders wrote the lyrics inspired by that disastrous night.”
Ludvig Moon’s sophomore album ‘Vanilla’ is due out May 8.
