The LA-based singer and songwriter, Carter Reeves, is quickly becoming one of my favorite modern funk acts. I’ve been following this guy for a minute now and each release seems smoother than the last. His most recent project, a single titled Grey Area sports a chilled-out, soulful, vibe with a slapping bass guitar and wonky synths that promise to get your feet moving. It’s great to see the indie-funk genre continuing to progress and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
