After her debut album received the warm welcome of audiences and critics as one of the best Greek indie pop albums of 2015, Σtella is preparing the release of her new album, Works For You, set for release next year. She’s now released the second single from the album, titled I’ll Never Be.
Channeling her fear of missing out, Σtella reflects on being absent from moments in life, explaining it as, “The distance from things we were never close to, or never will be. Relationships we failed to have and experiences we’ll never be a part of.” With its simple backdrop of melancholy pop colored with muted tones from the 60’s and Σtella’s pensive vocals, I’ll Never Be is a mesmerising single for those drab winter commutes in the city.
