Stay For Me is the fourth single from Brooklyn-based duo Haulm and the title track from their forthcoming EP. Their previous three singles straddled between house and woozy R&B, but this time around they bring it way down.
Soft and mournful piano notes are married with simple percussion allowing the powerful falsetto to slice through like a white-flamed tomahawk. Short and bittersweet, Haulm strips their emotions down to the bare necessities and wastes no breath, allowing the devastation to echo through a familiar space, saturated with merciless anguish.
Haulm’s debut EP is due March 30.
