As Simen Mitlid prepares to release his third full length this Fall, he’s shared the titled track Birds. Written and recorded in his tiny studio in Oslo over a busy motorway, Birds is an intimate folk ballad about black metal, fake IDs, growing up, dying, birthdays, and of course, birds. With Mitlid’s stream of consciousness lyrics, gentle instrumentation builds with lush arrangements like a symphony from the deep verdant woods of Norway.
