The last time we had Toronto-based pHoenix Pagliacci on here was for The Sorority’s Undun video. Now to kick off the year, she’s dropped the mournful Stupid off her forthcoming EP.
As the first single from her fall dated EP, Stupid tells the story of the push and pull that inevitably occurs at the end of a relationship. From thoughts of running back into the flames or running away, the struggles endured are brought to light even after things have ended for better or worse. Over Tamera Russell’s airy R&B instrumental with percussion that cuts sharp into the atmosphere like the daggers of those forsaken memories that haunt you, Pagliacci details the sordid tale of what was and the mania that engulfs her.
Listen below and hit that follow to keep up with pHoenix Pagliacci’s TRP-P project.
