From Chicago, Ezkiel is the elusive artist that has quietly been making waves over the last year with a small string of singles. His latest is a cautionary tale about a mistrusting relationship titled, Around.
With help from fellow Chicago native nïko, Around finds the artist flirting with a mix of R&B and pop while retaining those dark mysterious undertones as Ezkiel tells a troubled ex-lover to not come crying back to him now that he’s on the up. “Don’t you dare come back around/ when I’m on a high and you’re feeling down,” he sings to them while detailing the mess that is their relationship and all the venomous despair that still lingers on his tongue.
