Daemon Glass is a new producer/writer/singer from Toronto trying to escape the pitch-black corners of his mind by finding solace in music that fuses traditional soul and jazz with dark and mysterious undertones. After landing his Yung Death Ray produced debut single, Possibly, as a premiere on NEST HQ, the emerging artist slows it down with his new release, About You.
Influenced by jazz greats like Duke Ellington and contemporaries like BADBADNOTGOOD, About You is a tranquil jazz number that takes on an eerie atmosphere. “Something changed in a moment/ take my time but still curse it/ now I know/ I could’ve thought about you,” sings Glass, and with each breath he takes, the air becomes impregnated with a lingering despair. This is unlike anything you’ve heard as Glass lures you in with familiar yet beguiling vocals and unique soundscapes, and this is only the beginning for Daemon Glass.
