Down Low by newcomer Lyrah was featured on her recently released debut EP, “Chemicals”. Originally an upbeat pop cut that was featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds, Lyrah stripped it down to a piano with a freckle of subtle notes that carry the original’s essence. It’s an intimate spin perfect for those smoky late night low key moments vs a living room dance party. Speaking on the single, Lyrah says:
Low’ was a song that I wrote at my piano. As it developed, it became more energetic and the piano got replaced with a guitar riff. But the stripped down version took me to a really special, nostalgic place that I didn’t want to lose. I hope the people who loved the original one love where this one takes them to.”
